he loves me-he loves me not

when we were deciding on wedding flowers I decided to do the centerpieces myself. I figured since I love flowers and can be crafty, it wouldn't be a problem. At my bridal shower they had great flower arrangements on the tables. I asked the hotel where they ordered their flowers through, it was a local shop in Portsmouth, NH. So I inquired if I could order some roses (rather last minute!)for our upcoming wedding. They didnt have a problem they could get me the flowers it was just a little more then I really thought I would end up spending but from the looks of their flowers I knew I was going to get something pretty nice. I wish I had a picture of the 'before' but this was the end result the morning of the wedding. All my bridesmaids and some of their families pitched in so we got these done in no time! Clean up was easy because we could do these outside on the nice tables they had outside at our hotel. The the outside petals were a very light green and the inside was a sweet pink.

This was the final result in the ballroom. I didnt think they looked so bad. I had purchased the urns in bulk at The Christmas Tree Shop for 3.99 each, they were SO heavy! Overall, a pretty affordable centerpiece. The worst part was transporting all of this stuff from nh to newport, ri..ugh.

The upclose shot. Doing your own centerpieces is pretty stressfull, I don't know if I would do it again. Being stressed on the day of your wedding is not a good combination.
